Pass Box Selection: Static, Dynamic and Transfer Requirements
Choose a pass box from the transfer process and contamination-control requirement, not from the product name alone. Confirm the largest item, direction of travel, cleaning method, wall opening and required interlock behaviour.

Compare the configuration explicitly
For a static configuration, identify the enclosure and door-interlock requirements. For a dynamic configuration, additionally specify the air-handling arrangement, filters, airflow monitoring and maintenance access. Product labels vary between suppliers; approve the actual configuration and drawings.
Avoid unsupported sterilization assumptions
An interlock controls door access; it does not demonstrate sterilization. If a decontamination option is requested, require its intended use, material compatibility, operator protections and a validation approach agreed with the responsible specialist. Do not treat an accessory name as proof of process effectiveness.
Specify a useful factory inspection
Check internal and external dimensions against approved drawings, finish quality, door seals, interlock sequence and labelled utilities. For powered or filtered configurations, agree the relevant functional checks and reports in advance. Record serial numbers and any deviations before shipment.
Send a complete inquiry
Provide item size, wall thickness, room use, transfer direction, electrical supply and destination. Attach a marked layout if available. Ask for the model-specific drawing and scope of supply; dimensions, options and delivery timing require quotation review.

Verify the supplier before approving the order
Identify the contracting seller, actual manufacturer and local installer separately. A brochure or certificate held by another company needs a documented relationship and an applicable scope; a company name alone does not verify the proposed equipment.
- Before quotation: define the process, destination, configuration and interfaces.
- Before ordering: reconcile the legal entities, supporting documents, acceptance criteria, price and responsibility split.
- Before shipment: check the approved drawing revision, inspection record, traceability and packing documents.
- At site: confirm installation readiness, agreed tests, outstanding items and maintenance handover.
